# FeedBun

> FeedBun is a browser extension that helps people decode food product labels and online recipes with ingredient extraction, nutrition context, source-backed research summaries, health ratings, and optional personalised dietary insights.

FeedBun is a product of Wuit Pty Ltd (Australia). It is free to use on the Starter plan. Soft-launch paid tiers may also be free while the product is in alpha.

## What FeedBun does

- Detects supported public food product and recipe pages in the browser
- Extracts item details, ingredients, allergens, and nutrition when available
- Builds research summaries with citations when the research provider returns them
- Produces health ratings as a comparison signal, not medical advice
- Optionally personalises guidance from a user health profile (not allergy or medical clearance)
- Suggests recipe ingredient swaps when available

## Boundaries

- FeedBun is educational and informational only; it is not medical advice
- Health ratings and personalised insights are not allergy or medical clearance
- Missing, pending, failed, or unavailable results mean guidance is incomplete
- Research references come from the configured provider response; FeedBun does not independently verify every cited page
- The extension does not passively monitor browsing; page capture starts when the user opens FeedBun and requests analysis

## How to use

1. Install the browser extension for your browser.
2. Open a public food product or recipe page.
3. Open FeedBun and ask it to analyse the current page.
4. Optionally create a health profile in the web app for personalised notes.
